The Planning Committee is excited to inform members of the University community that the Wear UG Day, which was postponed due to the strike action by various unions in October, has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 20th November 2024 in the auditorium of the Cedi Conference Centre at 3:00pm.
Panel Discussion
As part of this year’s highly anticipated event, a panel discussion is being organized with experts and stakeholders in the youth entrepreneurship and fashion space sharing invaluable insights and experiences on the theme “Wear UG, Wear Ghana: Sustainable Youth Entrepreneurship in Fashion”.
Photo Opportunity
A photo booth will be mounted at the Sam Aboah Recreational Quadrangle (behind the Balme Library) with professional photographers taking memorable pictures of people wearing the 75th anniversary cloth.
Fashion Show
To climax the day’s events, a fashion design competition is being organised to recognise and reward the creativity and innovation of student fashion designers. Designers will use the UG@75 fabric to create beautiful and extraordinary designs for a spectacular show.
