The experts at Alchemy have created what they call the world’s first ‘Super Bronco,’ and we’re inclined to agree. With a 7.3-liter Megazilla V8 engine under the hood, an exclusive Dennis Carpenter Bronco all-steel wide body with custom steel bumpers, and three different variants to choose from, this take on the classic Ford Bronco recipe takes everything up to 11.

SEMA Show

The SEMA Show is an annual trade show hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), first held in January 1967 as the High Performance and Custom Trade Show. It is widely considered to be the world’s largest tuner and aftermarket-specific motor show in the world. The show has traditionally been hosted in the Las Vegas Convention Center, attracting over 140,000 visitors annually, with over 2,400 exhibitors present in its current incarnation. Despite its focus on the aftermarket, the show attracts a large number of automakers annually, showcasing everything from concept builds to accessories.

The Alchemy Super Bronco was revealed at the 2024 SEMA show this morning in Sorcerer XS guise, which means a 2-door body with a 93-inch wheelbase. Inside are 8-way power-operable Recaro seats, while the rear seating is a traditional fold-and-tumble setup. There’s also the Sorcerer XL coming, with a 4-door body, 124-inch wheelbase, middle-row Recaro seats (with a fold-and-tumble rear bench), a full ‘family’ roll cage, and power windows and door locks.

Exterior And Mechanical Upgrades

Creating a widened body out of all steel must have been an immense challenge, but the end result is absolutely stunning. Alchemy 3D-printed the front grille, the fender flares, and the fender vents, and it also designed and 3D-printed a new windshield wiper cover. A steel cowl hood and Forgeline wheels complete the obvious exterior upgrades, but peer a little closer and the impressive features continue to appear.

That Megazilla engine under the hood delivers 612 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque in this application, managed with a Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission and transfer case. Tractive semi-active suspension with remotely adjustable dampers and True-Trac differentials are bolted to the custom Kincer chassis, along with wider extreme-duty axles. Alchemy took things a step further by shaving the engine bay (hiding as many ancillary components and wiring harnesses as possible) and painting it a metallic grey.

Interior Amenities And Improvements

As mentioned, Recaro seats appear in the front row of all builds, either side of an Alchemy-designed and 3D-printed control panel in the center console. A Gen 5 Vintage Air climate control system keeps your butt cool on the custom leather upholstery, while branded Dakota Digital Gauges fill the cluster. Sadly, Alchemy did not provide detailed imagery of the cabin, but if the rest of the Super Bronco is anything to go by, it must be stunning. Also included is remote keyless entry and push-button start, and an electronic parking brake from Wilwood means your prized wide-body Bronco won’t disappear down a hill. Options for customizing the cabin include Black, Ash, Charcoal, Ivory, and Sand color schemes.

Exterior Color Options

  • Eternal Flame
  • Emerald Dust
  • Sapphire Sky
  • Celestial Night
  • Autumn Blaze
  • Crystal Slate
  • Crimson Inferno
  • Viridian Lagoon
  • Midnight Mist
  • Ice Storm

Pricing can’t be cheap – the engine alone costs as much as a new Maverick pickup – and it isn’t. The XS starts at $397,000, the XL at $469,000, and the XT at $487,000. The XT is for if you want something with a bit of Jeep Gladiator flavor, with four doors, the same wheelbase as the XL, a carbon fiber half-cab hardtop, a half-cab roll cage, a 4’8″ bed, and a spare tire carrier. Deliveries for the various Super Bronco builds begin in 2025.
