The Bachelor alum Madison Prewett’s clothing collection is getting roasted on social media after she heavily endorsed Donald Trump for president, with people joking that they can’t wait for her to create The Handmaid’s Tale inspired clothing.
The former reality star shared a snippet from this week’s episode of her Stay True podcast on Instagram that outraged her liberal followers who called for the separation of church and state.
In the caption Madison, 28, wrote that they discussed ‘faith, politics, and this 2024 Election.’
‘We all have a role and responsibility to be informed, vote, and pray for America,’ the Auburn, Alabama native explained.
Madison, who has 2.2 million followers on TikTok, faced pushback from people who called out her college merch collection and suggested she start selling ‘red robes and white bonnets’ instead of game day attire.
Madison made the podcast endorsement alongside controversial conservative content creator Allie Stuckey.
Both women discussed ‘their role as Christians in all of this’ and ‘why women have been so targeted.’
‘You don’t even have to see it as a Democrat and a Republican thing – just see it as a Christian thing,’ Madison told her listeners.
Madison then asked, ‘What is God’s heart towards children? What is God’s heart towards family? What is God’s heart towards marriage?’
Allie, who wrote the book Toxic Empathy, explained that she believes candidates ‘manipulate’ women’s ‘rightful compassion and empathy into believing we have to be pro-choice to be pro-woman and it’s just not true.’
Madison then took to TikTok to promote Auburn University merchandise from Game Day Couture and was quickly trolled by social media users for the casual collection.
‘When’s the red robe and bonnet collection dropping?’ one commenter questioned, referencing the dystopian book and Hulu show The Handmaid’s Tale, where women who can still bear children wear a red dress and white bonnet to signify their status.
Another woman snarked, ‘Wow, you really seem to love this school. Should we all be Auburn fans, as well? Why stop at just forcing religion upon your fellow Americans?’
In another video promoting the college-themed collection, a commenter echoed, ‘Awe can’t wait for the red robe and white bonnet drop,’ as another clapped back, ‘$100 says she doesn’t know how to read or what the Handmaid’s Tale even is.’
After her sister commented supportively, ‘All so cute! I need!’ another commenter wrote, ‘When do you drop your pointy white hats and cloaks!!’ in reference to the robes worn by members of the Ku Klux Klan.
However, many conservatives supported the religious podcast host and explained that they agreed with her fully in the comments.
One raved, ‘Such a beautiful MAMA! So much love for you sweetest girl! Can’t wait to watch you be the best Mama!’
Madison revealed that she and husband pastor Grant Troutt are expecting their first child, a baby girl, during a gender reveal party in their backyard in August.
The Made For This Moment author starred on Peter Weber’s season of the ABC dating show and was the runner-up to Hannah Ann Sluss.
Madison, who was waiting until marriage to have sex, withdrew when they didn’t see eye-to-eye on religion and she didn’t approve of him having sexual relationships with other contestants.
Peter ultimately proposed to Hannah, but broke off the engagement after revealing he still had feeling for Madison.
While they briefly tried dating again, Peter’s mother, Barb, famously didn’t approve and it ultimately didn’t work out.
