Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a death threat demanding Rs 2 crore, prompting Mumbai police to arrest a Bandra resident. The investigation follows earlier threats against Khan, including a message sent to traffic police demanding Rs 5 crore. Police have tightened security around the actor’s residence.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been subjected to another death threat accompanied by a demand for Rs 2 crore, propelling law enforcement to launch a probe and detain a Bandra resident on Wednesday, according to officials.
The matter escalated when Mumbai traffic police received an anonymous message on Tuesday, warning that the 58-year-old actor would be killed if he failed to make the payment. This led to the registration of a case by the Worli police against an unidentified sender.
Following investigations, Azam Mohammed Mustafa, residing in Bandra (East), was arrested on accusations of making the latest threats. Previous incidents have seen the Mumbai police arresting individuals from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh over similar threats, with concerns heightened due to Khan’s prior confrontations with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
