Details Emerge On What Ruto Plans To Do To Police In Haiti As Trump Is Set To Assume Office In 2025

President William Ruto engaged the United States Secretary of the State, Anthony Blinken in a conversation regarding the fate of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) involving Kenyan police officers in Haiti.

As Donald Trump is expected to take over, it is unclear whether the initiative by United States of America to fund the mission would continue as it used to be done by former President Joe Biden.

Details emerging right now reveals that the mission is being considered to be transitioned into a United Nations Peacekeeping operation to enhance its progression and completion by October next year.

“We discussed the transition of the mission into a UN peacekeeping operation to enhance the capability of the mission to help stabilise Haiti,” Ruto stated

The mission experienced delays in the recent days due to lack of financial and logistical challenges required for the complex nature of mission in Haiti.

This happens despite the approval of the mission by the United Nations Security Council which has been trying to consider the best options to provide support to the resources strapped mission to enhance peace restoration in Haiti.
