ANKARA, November 8. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that he expects US President-elect Donald Trump to abandon the flawed policy of the previous administration.
“Earlier, I congratulated Mr. Trump on his historic victory in the election and drew his attention to the massacre in Gaza and Lebanon. We hope and expect my dear friend Trump to move away from the erroneous policy of the previous administration during his presidential term,” he was quoted as saying by local television channels.
He expressed hope that “Trump would take responsibility for ending wars” in the region. “On our part, we will spare no effort to avoid further bloodshed and put an end to conflicts, wars, and tensions,” Erdogan pledged.
