ALBAWABA – A famous Algerian TikToker who goes by the name of “Katya” on social media tragically passed away while live streaming on the video-sharing platform.
The TikToker was nicknamed in Arabic, “Al-Shaytana Al-Mudallalah” (Spoiled devil in English). News of her passing went viral across the internet due to the content creator’s controversial past story and statements that challenged her country’s traditions.
During the clip which circulated across social media, Katya was talking to one of her fans on TikTok live when she suddenly felt fatigued, grabbed her heart, and fell to the ground unconscious after. The follower panicked and started shouting her mother’s name in hopes of quick aid.
Famous Algerian TikToker dies while live streaming
According to the Algerian news outlet ‘Ech Chorouk El Yawmi,’ Katya later was announced dead due to suffering from a heart attack.
Before her passing, the Algerian TikToker caused quite a stir among locals and Arabs on social media for her controversial takes and past life where she worked as a dancer. She also challenged her country’s traditions which didn’t help her case either.
Katya explained that her past life was difficult due to financial issues, which is why she resorted to such a job. Despite her controversial nature, many users on social media decided not to send hate towards her and offered her family condolences.
