Victor Osimhen could face a difficult decision in January with Turkish giants Galatasaray preparing a £42m bid for his permanent signature amid renewed interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli after moves to Chelsea, Al Ahly and PSG fell through in the summer, has impressed in Turkey with four goals and as many assists in seven appearances for Galatasaray.
According to Turkish outlet Sozcu, Galatasaray are keen to make his stay permanent, though their proposed £42m fee falls significantly short of his release clause.
According to football transfer expert, Robin Bairner, the Nigeria international could be tempted by offers from his summer suitors, particularly PSG, who need to strengthen their attacking options with Randal Kolo Muani’s future uncertain.
“He’s been in the Turkish news this week saying that he’s going to stay at Galatasaray, and he’s spoken to fans about staying until the end of the season,” Bairner said on the PSG Talk Extra Time podcast.
“But if a big offer come in from PSG, Chelsea, or Arsenal—any of the teams interested in him during the summer—it’s certainly something you would have to consider.”
