All is set for the 2024 GTCO Fashion Weekend, an initiative of the GT Bank Holding Company that has become the premier consumer-focused event that places African fashion on the global stage while additionally helping small businesses in the local fashion industry thrive.
This event, 7th in its series, is scheduled for this weekend precisely on the 9th and 10th November 2024 at the Water Corporation Drive, Victoria Island, Lagos featuring its recurring but laudable theme: “Promoting Enterprise”.
The 2-day high-flying event will showcase offerings such as – 4 Masterclasses, over 140 carefully curated pop fashion retail stores, craft/fabric market, and 12 runway shows featuring Africa’s finest designers and international designers.
Speaking on the up-coming event, Segun Agbaje, Group CEO, GTCO, the vision for the GTCO fashion weekend remains promoting enterprise; providing a platform that supports small businesses, the community and brings Africa’s vast creativity to the forefront.
“It is about telling stories of heritage, culture and personal identity, through the universal language of fashion”, Agbaje said, adding that beyond self-expression fashion has become a powerful engine for economic empowerment, and thhe organisation is deeply commited to being part of the journey.
The 2024 masterclasses will be headlined by Lulu kennedy, fashion editor –“ Incubating Talent: Supporting the next generation” and Patricia Bright –Fashion Influencer: Style Influence + everything in between: Creating your online World” both for day 1 while Sheika Daley (make-Up) and Ted Gibson (Hair Professional) will headline day 2 discussing “A maestro in the world of Celebrity Make-up Artistry” and iconic hair:The Holywood story” respectively.
Runway line up for days 1 and 2 are star studded and would be exciting.
