Barcelona continued their winning streak and after claiming victories over Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, it was Red Star Belgrade who fell victim to the ‘Cules’ in the latest round of Champions League fixtures.
Hansi Flick’s side crushed the Serbian side 5-2 away from home and one of the show-stealers for the visitors was Jules Kounde, who was instrumental in the win with a hat-trick of assists, setting up Lewandowski, Raphina and Fermin Lopez to complete Barcelona’s rout.
The French full-back said after the match in Serbia that he is in the best shape of his career physically, as well as praising Hansi Flick’s work at the helm. “I’m in the best moment of my career. I’m very happy with Hansi Flick, he’s a top coach,” he said.
The France international is an undisputed starter under the German coach, having already made 16 official appearances so far this season, in which he has scored one goal and provided four assists.
