Erred by new speculations Imane Khelif is reportedly preparing to take legal action in response to recent reports from a leaked medical document questioning her gender. The embattled Imane Khelif, declared male in a leaked medical report, is “preparing a lawsuit in response to the latest reporting,” according to information provided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to German broadcaster DW. The medical report went viral on social media after it was accessed by the French magazine Le Correspondent. It was reported to be drafted in 2023. However, there are still questions over the authenticity of the report and is also seen as an attempt to tarnish Imane’s image. The Algerian Olympic Committee (COA) has also hit out at the “ongoing and baseless attacks” on Imane Khelif.
