Influencer who decided to deep clean random stranger's grave at night shares new video following backlash

A TikToker who caused uproar after cleaning a stranger’s grave is back with a new video – and is still getting backlash.

While taking care of a loved one’s grave site might be a kind gesture to most, influencer The Clean Girl (@_the-clean_girl) has sharply divided TikTok users.

It was just months ago that some viewers were left grossed out by the TikToker’s video, which they found a little too upbeat for such a solemn activity.

Other pointed out a creepy detail they noticed while watching the clip.

In the video, the influencer said: “I’m at the graveyard at night, cleaning this abandoned grave for free.

“I have so many questions in my head. What’s happened? How did this grave get so dirty?

“Who’s buried here? Her name’s Bienvenida. Wow, her name is welcome in Español.”

She continued: “Right now this is the dirtiest grave I’ve ever seen. That’s so unfair, everyone deserves a beautiful resting place.”

The influencer added: “I wonder what Bienvenida’s life was like.”

But it was when she paused and asked ‘does she like chocolate cupcakes?’ before taking a bite out of one that she had brought with her, that people began to give her hate.

Some accused her of disrespecting the dead and making light of sad situations.

Others questioned what cleaning products she used, and were concerned she could damage the graves.

Others also believed that she had been painting the graves to make them look white after cleaning, posting a series of comparison pictures to show the difference.

A commenter wrote after seeing the pictures: “Oh 10 to 1 that’s paint that is not what stone looks like lmao.”

Another said: “There is absolutely nothing wrong with cleaning a neglected grave but the way she talks about this woman does not sit right with me at all.”

But even though it seemed like she’d stopped after so much negative feedback, she’s back online and people have some things to say about it.

One X user retweeted a video of the cleaner which shows her clearing up a pot hole in the road.

She wrote: “The clean girl is pivoting because enough people on TikTok were calling her out for her destructive practices, cleaning headstones.”

Another user wrote: “This looks like it will effectively be destructive to the street also though.

“Inadequate compaction on the underlay and coldmix plus not taping the seams so rain water is going to immediately infiltrate under and break everything up and then there will be a big square hole.”

Even her new content is being given the cold shoulder with commenters claiming that her fixing pot holes is illegal, which technically, it is if you damage anything.

We’ll have to see what she plans to clean next, but we’re sure people will have opinions.
