The scandal involving leaked video tapes by Former Equatorial Guinea anti-graft Chief Baltasar Ebang Egonga has taken a new twist. This is after one of the ladies involved in the tapes Christel Nchama, filed a formal complaint with National Gendermerie, an equivalent of the police demanding for justice.
Egonga has been trending online recently for his alledged intimate affair videos with numerous women, including wives and relatives of prominent people. The tapes which were discovered following a fraud investigation into Egonga, were leaked online leading to several mixed reactions about the Central African State.
Following the leakage of these videos, Nchama who filed a report with the police, admitted that she was Egonga’s lover for the past four years. For that she is considered a victim by the Real Equatorial Guinea.
She went further to admit that they had taken some videos of their affair sessions, but with an expectation that the videos would be deleted thereafter.
“I’m humiliated; it is my reputation, my honour. I want to know where these images came from and why he kept them,” Nchama explained.
Nchama has gone forward to demand for a quick action to be taken on the former ANIF boss and to be compensated by the Real Equatorial Guinea for the damages and losses caused by the widespread of the private videos.
First lady Teodoro Obiang of Equatorial Guinea reacting to this scandal, had given a directive for the sacking of Egonga and suspension of any officials involved in the video tapes.
A restriction has also been made for Whatsapp to avoid further spreading of the videos. Prime Minister Mrs Obiang, has also asked the government to intervene to restore women’s dignity in Equatorial Guinea.
