Liverpool man’s January exit ‘out of the question’ – Slot needs him for business end of season
The last time Federico Chiesa played for Liverpool was back in September and in the last four Premier League games he hasn’t even made it to the bench.
Arne Slot has been vocal about his issues around adaptation to a new league and this has brought doubts around Chiesa’s future at Liverpool. A January exit has also been spoken of in recent days.
Even though things aren’t getting better for the Italian, there’s now an assumption he’ll be staying at Anfield.
InterLive state that a return to the Serie A is ‘highly unlikely’ for Chiesa. Even though Inter like the winger a lot, there are concerns about whether Liverpool would want to let him leave just months after his arrival.
There are also big question marks about Chiesa’s fitness issues, which existed even during his time in Italy.
On top of that, there is a feeling that when games come thick and fast, Chiesa will be seen as an effective option. That is why the Reds could see the exit as being ‘out of the question’.
