Prince William’s visit to South Africa has come to an end following the awarding of his Earthshot Prize.
Prince William spent his last day in South Africa in true South African style.
The Prince of Wales spent the last few days in SA for the annual Earthshot Prize, a program that brought together 120 people aged between 18 and 35 who are working on climate action and sustainability.
It focuses on recognising those who are working towards solutions to environmental problems such as climate change, air pollution, and biodiversity loss.
After awarding each of the five winning projects, which include one that converts heat from industrial plants into electricity, with one million pounds ($1.3-million), Prince William was set to head home.
But before leaving the country, he spent a day by the sea in Kalk Bay, enjoying a truly South African braai.
According to People, he was joined by special guest model and TV presenter Heidi Klum, who attended to learn more about sustainable fishing.
Actor Billy Porter and model Winnie Harlow also joined the group at Kalk Bay Harbor, where they discussed the 4th annual Earthshot Prize while enjoying the braai.
The Earthshot Prize ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 6.
