Major Breakthrough in Langata Cemetery Body Investigation Unveils Activities of Prime Suspect
Detectives investigating the discovery of a severely mutilated body at Langata Cemetery on October 31, 2024, have made a significant breakthrough, shedding light on the activities of Hashim Dagane Muhumed, the prime suspect in the murders of a mother, her daughter, and her 12-year-old niece. Following crucial evidence recovered at the scene, detectives traced the victim to a Quickmart supermarket in the city, where CCTV footage captured her shopping on October 29, 2024. Further investigation revealed that after shopping, the woman proceeded to an apartment in Lavington, again caught on CCTV entering the premises. Armed with key leads, detectives determined that the woman was accompanied by Hashim Dagane, who resided in the apartment. On October 31, 2024, Dagane was seen leaving the apartment carrying two bags suspected to contain the victim’s remains, which were later found at Langata Cemetery.
It has been verified that after Dagane left, the apartment owner discovered the crime, cleaned up the scene, repainted the rooms, and subsequently disappeared. Authorities are actively searching for the owner, confident that it is only a matter of time before he is apprehended and faces charges. The woman is believed to be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, reported missing at California Police Station on October 24, 2024. Forensic analysis is underway to confirm the victim’s identity. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reiterates its commitment to ensuring justice for the victims as detectives continue to investigate Hashim’s potential involvement in other criminal activities within the country.
