After going missing for weeks, blogger Maverick Aoko Otieno has returned. Aoko explained in a post on her official X account on Friday, November 8, that she and her family had given permission to an aide to handle her social media accounts.

She thanked the public for their concern and reassured Kenyans that she is getting better under the care of her family. “Your clamor, fervor, noise, agitation, and prayers kept air in my lungs and blood in my heart,” said Aoko, expressing his profound gratitude for the Kenyan people’s support. Every call, message, retweet, and tweet that promoted her wellbeing was acknowledged by her.

Aoko alluded to having faced adversity, referring to it cryptically as “hata sisi tunajua kusalimiana,” yet her precise condition is still unknown.

She promised to provide more information after she completely heals, but she kept silent regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Her post demonstrates her tenacity and the encouraging nature of Kenyans.
