Maverick Aoko Clarifies Who Has Been Managing Her X Account After Fears of Compromise By DCI
Controversial blogger Maverick Aoko has resurfaced after spending an unexpectedly long away from social media.
After several noise from Kenyans with speculations of abductions, Aoko has finally confirmed through her widely engaged X account that she is alive but yet to recover physically.
In addition, Aoko clarified that it was her aid that has been operating her account, allaying doubts that it was compromised by the DCI.
“The person who’s been posting on my account has/had my unreserved permission and that of my Family.Your mistrust is justified, the skepticism is valid given we are dealing with a fiendish regime that knows no bounds,”
“I however assure you, they got me but not my account. We are not as daft as they presume us to be and the first thing my aide does when I emergency dial, or is unreachable, is to change our passwords,” Aoko stated.
“This not only protects this account but also my sources for it goes without saying, devoid of them, there’s no ‘Tea.'” She added.
During her absence, at a time when her family confirmed they did not know the whereabouts of her, Kenyans raised an alarm over the authenticity of the person operating her account, especially after confirming she had been found along the Kenya-Tanzania border.
