Social media influencer Scophine Aoko Otieno, known as Maverick Aoko, has finally shared her story after going missing for nearly ten days. She was found at the Kenya-Tanzania border.
On Friday, November 1, her aide confirmed that Aoko had been located. The aide posted on Aoko’s X account, explaining that she had been taken to a hospital by an unknown person who said they found her outside their gate. The family received a call from the hospital to update them on her condition.
“She’s been found at the Kenya-Tanzania border. Her family was called from a hospital. She was taken there by someone who said they found her outside,” the aide wrote. The message expressed gratitude for the support Aoko received during her absence, stating, “We don’t know much yet, but her father is on his way there. We will keep you updated. Thank you for standing by her.”
Even after the news broke, Aoko did not share any photos or videos while she was missing. She remained quiet for a whole week, which made many of her followers worried about her well-being.
On the same day she was found, Aoko took to her X account to reassure everyone that she is safe. She explained that the person posting updates on her account had her permission and that of her family. Aoko expressed her deep appreciation for the support she received while she was gone.
“Your calls, messages, and prayers kept me strong. Thank you for every tweet, retweet, and voice that spoke out for me. I am grateful to be receiving good care. My spirit is strong, and my determination is even greater,” she wrote.
Aoko also mentioned that she plans to share more details about what happened to her when she feels better. She promised her followers that she would explain everything in due time.
As she continues to recover, her supporters are eager to learn more about her experience and what she went through while she was missing.
