Melania Trump made chilling admission about Donald Trump following assassination attempt

Melania Trump – the incoming First Lady of America – opened up about the two assassination attempts made on her husband earlier this year.

Her comments have hit global headlines since Donald Trump was voted to re-enter the White House in January 2025, following the Republican leader’s win against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris earlier this week.

In July of this year at an open-air campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, a 20-year-old man fired eight rounds at Trump from AR-15-style rifle from the roof of a nearby building.

The dubious politician endured a wound in his upper right ear at the hands of Thomas Matthew Crooks, whose aim killed one audience member and critically injured two others.

Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by a member of the US Secret Service.

A second incident came just weeks later near the couple’s Mar-a-Lago, Florida estate, after which a man was arrested from the scene with an AK-47-style weapon.

And now, with her husband having been re-instated into his high-power, public position, the message Melania gave to press following the near-misses on Trump’s life have accumulated attention.

Speaking to Fox News in a rare interview following the release of several excepts of her incoming debut titular memoir, the mother-of-one – who shares her 18-year-old son Barron with convicted criminal Trump – told of how both incidents affected her family.

“I saw how they treated him, how the media was against him,” the 54-year-old spoke of Trump’s threats.

And addressing the impeachment he was faced with during his first term in office, Melania added: “I think they are afraid of his strength, and he was leading this country with peace through strength.

“So, as soon he announced that he was running for the presidency, everything really changed. And I saw it, and I said, you know, this will not be very pleasant.”

Speaking to Fox News, she added of his double assassination attempts: “So I always said to him, ‘What is next?’.

The former fashion model went on to confess: “In one way, you’re not surprised, and with every event that happened, I kept thinking, ‘What’s next? What are they trying to do?’.

“You always fear the worst, and then it happened.”

Melania’s admission is one of the first instances of the forthcoming First Lady speaking to the public amid her husband’s second campaign trail.

Not only has she remained predominantly out of the spotlight since Trump announced his plans to stand again in 2021, but she was also noticeably absent from each of his rallies and debates.

Her upcoming memoir also hears Melania details her Pro-Choice chance on abortion – a stark contract to her husband’s Pro-Life take on the debate.

Whilst the next few months could see Trump use Project 2025 and the overturning of Roe v Wade as a means of rolling out a nationwide ‘de facto’ abortion ban, his wife’s work brands it ‘imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children’.
