NRM Pens Down Confidence of No Contradiction, Reveals Their Stance for Kisoro Woman MP By-Election

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has expressed full confidence in securing victory in the upcoming Kisoro District Woman Member of Parliament by-election, dismissing any concerns about internal contradictions within the party. NRM leaders, led by Deputy National Treasurer Jacqueline Kyatuhaire, joined the party’s candidate, Rose Kabagyeni, during her campaign in Chahafi Town Council, Murora, and Kanaba Sub-counties.

Kyatuhaire confidently downplayed any division among party members, asserting, “The NRM is bigger than any individual. We have weathered many challenges and remain united in our goal to win this election.” She emphasised that the party’s strong support base in Kisoro would be instrumental in continuing government initiatives focused on improving the welfare of the people.

“Our supporters are resolute,” Kyatuhaire added. “No leader or outsider can divert them from the decision they made in the primaries, and that decision must be respected.”

Rose Kabagyeni, the NRM’s candidate for the by-election, reiterated her commitment to the people of Kisoro. “Having served in Parliament before, I understand the system, and I am ready to work on the unfinished projects left by the late Hon. Sarah Mateke,” Kabagyeni said.

She also urged voters to avoid choosing leaders based on divisive factors like tribe or religion. “Such politics hinder development and are against the core values of the NRM,” she warned. Kabagyeni’s campaign continues as she moves into the fifth day of her trail, focusing on Bukimbiri County.
