Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to electrification aligns with the global shift towards sustainable mobility. By offering a range of electrified options, the company is catering to the evolving needs of its customers.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a 29% increase in global sales of plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models for the first half of the financial year.
This surge in demand highlights the growing interest in electrified vehicles, with PHEVs serving as a bridge between traditional internal combustion engines and fully electric vehicles.
Key points that drive this demand are an increase of 47% in Range Rover PHEV sales. Defender PHEV sales are up 23% as the electric version gains traction.
JLR aims to offer a pure electric variant of every model by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2039. Its MLA modular platform allows for ICE, PHEV and BEV options, providing customers with diverse choices.
