With the nights getting earlier and people going out to enjoy the Autumn scenery and begin the festive season, more and more people have been looking at comfort food and warm places to sit down and enjoy a meal.
We’ve taken a look at booking website OpenTable, which analyses more than 400,000 new diner reviews each month to help foodies discover new favourites.
OpenTable have compiled a list of the most frequently booked restaurants across the Black Country and Staffordshire for someone booking a table at 7pm, so here are the top eight, in no particular order, according to the site.
Found in Wolverhampton city centre, the Slug and Lettuce is a popular chain bar and nightspot which also serves a wide selection of food between 11am and 9pm each day.
The Slug and Lettuce features a full menu, with a mix-and-match menu for three items for £16 or five items for £25, a sharers menu, main courses including fish and chips, steak and fries and an Hawaiian rice bowl, plus plenty of burgers, sandwiches and indulgent desserts.
There’s also a special lunch menu for those craving something lighter on their lunch break.
Part of a group of four pubs across the region under the Vik’s Pubs banner, the Lancaster combines a traditional pub menu with a sizzling Indian Grill experience to provide something for everyone.
