Prince Harry, Meghan Markle make first joint statement as ‘separation’ ends

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint appearance after a months-long professional separation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex marked a virtual attendance from their Montecito home at the inaugural United Nations Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which took place in Bogotá, Colombia.

For the unversed, the couple recently launched the Parents’ Network, aiming to highlight and support the victims’ children and their families from online violence.

The members and the parents of affected children from their meaningful project were presented at the event.

As per the Archewell Foundation website, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “applauded the efforts of those actively addressing this critical issue and stressed the importance of tackling digital violence to prioritize children’s safety in today’s connected world.”

Meghan said in the video, “At the Archewell Foundation, we engage with young people, families and experts worldwide, learning about how every aspect of a child’s life — from their livelihood to their physical and mental well-being — now operates within an online economy that has both the power to shape and misshape our connections.”

It is important to mention that Harry and Meghan appeared in this new video following their alleged decision to carry on their official engagements separately.
