Kenyan rapper and former radio presenter Hubert Mbuku Nakitare alias Nonini has sued an X user Saddam @Saddam Ke over defamatory remarks posted on the platform.

In a demand letter shared by Nonini’s legal team, the artist accused Saddam of publishing false information about him on November 6th 2024 tagging the elected U.S President Donald Trump, stated

Mr President

I know a scammer living in New York pretending to be a rapper (his last song was in 2002). To make America Great Again, send him back to us. I don’t want to say his name. Ok, he is called Nonini.

According to the rapper’s lawyer, the statements insinuate that Nonini is a scammer living in New York, and went ahead to suggest that he be deported as part of Trump’s  “Making America Great Again” (MAGA) agenda.

The demand letter asserts that the allegations have tarnished Nonini’s reputation and caused panic among his family and business associates.

Nonini’s legal team have also emphasized that the artist doesn’t know Saddam and has never met him before, however, he highlighted that this was not the first time the same person harassed him.
