“Rest In Peace” Sad News As Peter Kimani Is Killed By An Intruder In His New Retirement Home
Details have emerged that in Juja, Kiambu County, a family is mourning the tragic loss of Peter Kimani, who was killed in a brutal nighttime attack in his home. The intruder, suspected to be part of a gang targeting local homes, forced entry into Kimani’s newly built retirement bungalow, breaking a window to enter and waking Kimani’s daughter, who heard him declare his intention as a thief.
According to family accounts, the intruder attacked Kimani immediately after entering, wielding an axe. Despite the family’s efforts, Kimani sustained critical injuries, later succumbing to them in the hospital. During the attack, the robber reportedly demanded cash and valuables, injuring Kimani’s widow, who sustained minor wounds while trying to protect her husband. Kimani’s wife suspects that the family was rendered defenseless due to a mysterious substance the intruder may have carried, as she recalls feeling immobilized and unable to respond during the incident. “We thought it was kerosene, but now we think it was something to confuse us,” she shared. Kimani’s daughter, too, could do little but watch in horror as the tragedy unfolded.
This incident has left the family and surrounding community reeling, with fear gripping residents over a string of violent burglaries in the area. The Juja Police Department is actively investigating, suspecting that the same gang may be involved in a spate of similar attacks, often targeting men in the household. Kimani’s family is now seeking justice, hoping authorities will bring those responsible to account and prevent further tragedies.
