Samuel Rak-Sakyi Shines in Chelsea Debut During 8-0 Conference League Triumph

English-born Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Rak-Sakyi made his long-awaited first-team debut for Chelsea in their commanding 8-0 victory over Armenian side Noah FC in the UEFA Conference League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night. The 19-year-old’s debut marked a proud moment for the Rak-Sakyi family, as he joined his older brother Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who plays for Sheffield United on loan from Crystal Palace, in the professional football ranks.

Rak-Sakyi entered the match in the final minutes, replacing Christopher Nkunku in the 79th minute, and immediately showcased his skill and maturity. With sharp footwork and a well-timed run into the box, he nearly capped his debut with a goal, forcing a key save from Noah FC’s goalkeeper. The crowd responded warmly to his efforts, marking his introduction to Chelsea’s first team with excitement.

Raised in London, Rak-Sakyi has been part of Chelsea’s development journey since the Under-8 level, solidifying his commitment to the club by signing a two-year contract extension in August. His journey to the senior team has been eagerly anticipated by fans, especially following in the footsteps of his brother in England’s top football leagues.

Chelsea’s powerful display against Noah FC not only highlighted their scoring prowess but also confirmed their leading position in the Conference League standings, now with an impressive goal difference of +13.
