Warwick Davis, the beloved television personality and actor known for his roles in Star Wars and Harry Potter, has reportedly inherited over half a million pounds from his late wife Samantha. Samantha, who passed away in March at the age of 53, left an estate totalling £536,830 according to documents obtained by The Sun.

The couple first met on a movie set when Warwick was just 17, and he is now the sole executor of her estate. Samantha’s death followed a difficult battle with sepsis, meningitis and Strep B infections, which she contracted after spinal surgery.

In 2018, she openly shared her struggle with these infections, confessing that she believed she was “going to die”. Both Samantha and Warwick were diagnosed with conditions leading to dwarfism – achondroplasia for Samantha and spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita for Warwick.

Following Samantha’s death, Warwick paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife, sharing that despite her mobility being affected by sepsis in 2018, she was “determined it would not impact her quality of life”. He added: “She was my most trusted confidante and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career.”

Warwick previously opened up about his wife Sam’s health struggles, which included a severe bout of sepsis in 2018. Speaking to The Sun, he revealed how her health deteriorated suddenly just as they were preparing for a family caravan holiday, reports Birmingham Live.

Warwick spoke movingly of the harrowing time: “The next few hours were the longest of my life as I waited on the ward with our children in the empty space left by Sam’s hospital bed.”

Additionally, Warwick has shared the heart-wrenching story of losing two of their children to severe health complications. He recalled the painful loss of their first son, Lloyd, who passed away after nine days because his lungs hadn’t developed fully.

Another tragic episode occurred during Samantha’s pregnancy with their son George at 19 weeks. With heavy sorrow, Warwick recounted: “It’s something that a baby won’t survive. But Lloyd survived for nine days, but yeah he was beautiful. It was a tough time. And yeah, we had a stillborn too.”
