Watch: 23-year-old female star recreates ICONIC Shawn Michaels backstage segment following devastating loss on NXT

This week’s NXT saw the fall of Roxanne Perez after she was decimated by Zaria and co. in the 10-Woman Tag Team Match. It was the second time The Prodigy was pinned in a matter of a few weeks. Following the devastating loss, Perez found herself on the verge of losing her mind, leading to the recreation of an iconic segment.

A visibly frustrated Perez channeled her inner Shawn Michaels backstage on NXT, leading to the replay of one of the famous segments of DX from 2006. This time, Robert Stone, not Stan, took the brunt of Perez’s agitated ‘Superkick.’

It was an homage to the iconic segment of DX from Cyber Sunday 2006 on its 18th anniversary. Originally, Michaels kicked Stan, who is now known as NXT star Shawn Spears , in an over-the-top display of frustration. Therefore, it was an entertaining callback by Cora Jade and Perez that has gone viral on social media.

It was a rough night for the duo, who failed to make an impact on NXT. With such a huge loss, it is likely that the upcoming weeks are going to be tough for both stars. The likes of Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia have set their sights on the NXT Women’s Championship, making Perez a prime target of the women’s division on the black and silver brand.

Roxanne Perez reveals what she plans to do after her wrestling career

Roxanne Perez is one of the emerging names in the world of professional wrestling. The 23-year-old is already an incredible talent with multiple NXT Women’s Championships in her resume, indicating a bright future in the company. However, Perez recently revealed what her post-wrestling career would look like.

Speaking on Arroe Collins Unplugged, The Prodigy revealed that acting has always intrigued her. Therefore, if she ever decides to step away from wrestling, she would like to try her luck in Hollywood. In fact, she said that pro wrestling has helped her gain the confidence required to showcase her talent on a bigger screen someday.

It’s definitely something that, eventually, once I’m all good with wrestling, that maybe one day I would love to try that out.

That does not mean Perez is leaving WWE anytime soon. Many consider her one of the future top stars of WWE women’s wrestling and a potential WrestleMania main eventer. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the career of the NXT Women’s Champion transpires with such high expectations.
