Christopher Krynauw (33) and his wife, Simoné (26), recently won their divisions at a bodybuilding competition in Cape Town.

The Ramsgate couple who train at Superbodies Margate worked hard to secure gold at the NPC iCandy Mother City Classic 2024.

Christopher was the winner of both the Open Classics Physique Class C and Overall, while Simoné took the trophy for both Open Wellness Class C and Overall.

“To actually have won was such an amazing feeling. You never know how it’s going to go when you step on stage. So, to win your class, and overall, is overwhelming in the most incredible way. I’m extremely proud of his win and mine,” said Simoné.

They are heading for the NPC Africa Championship Pro Qualification in December.

Both are aiming to try to achieve their pro cards.

Christopher said his win was an indescribable feeling, having worked years to build his physique and 20 weeks of preparation and planning going into the competition to have everything fall in place.

“I have been rewarded for the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice it takes to make it to that level of competition. I am grateful for the journey and the experience it has given me,” he said.
