Kenyan digital creator and actress Marya Okoth recently opened up about her breakup with comedian YY in a YouTube video. While discussing the end of their relationship, she made it clear that she wouldn’t delve into the details of the breakup, explaining that YY was not present to share his side of the story.
“You asked what happened and the answer I am going to give you is I don’t think I’m going to talk about it because am not with him here, If he was here I would answer you but because of the respect I am not going to talk about it. You guys knew us tukiwa pamoja, man of the house, so if he is not here I am not going to talk about it.”
Marya, who is also a mother of one, further revealed that she is currently not in a relationship.
“You are free to use my words against me. I don’t think I will ever do a public relationship again. Hili swali ni gumu. Mnafanya hesabu ya minus kwa maisha yangu. If I had a boyfriend you guys would see signs. If you know signs of a girl who has a boyfriend you would definitely tell if I have a boyfriend or not. Mi sina mtu, I don’t have a boyfriend.”
This comes shortly after YY Comedian introduced his new girlfriend, Noela, just a month following his split with Marya.
