Mud Dock is an iconic bike shop and café in the centre of Bristol. It’s set over two floors of the old harbourside building we refurbished back in the 1990s, with a bespoke workshop and large outdoor terrace added in 2006. Our love of bikes and food – together with the support of amazing staff and loyal customers – has helped us keep up with the newest cycling and restaurant trends. In 2024, we are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

We are currently recruiting for a Head Mechanic to join our bike shop. This is a unique opportunity as Mud Dock typically runs a very low staff turnover, as we like to stick around. As well as keeping your team engaged and motivated, you will need to embrace a real passion and understanding of cycling along with trends and new tech. You maintain the efficient and effective operational day-to-day running of the workshop as well as leading your team from the front.

The role requires somebody with a Cytec Level 2 qualification or equivalent work experience and the ability to work around complex problems on a range of different bikes, importantly Bromptons and Electric bikes. The candidate should also be able display in-depth product knowledge and the ability to advise customers.

Cycle Heaven is one of the North’s largest cycle retailers. The successful candidate will work at all three of our stores: our HQ, an exceptional large flagship store with a lively cafe; Cycle Heaven at the (York railway) Station, and also in our neighbourhood workshop – CH at the Angel. Duties include: the assembly of new cycles including e-bikes, repairs to a diverse range of cycles, serving customers as we operate an open workshop, and occasional retail duties. We also deliver basic maintenance tuition to our customers. The successful candidate would have the confidence and aptitude to help develop this programme further.

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about cycling; a person of sterling character with a demonstrable mechanical aptitude and competence, plus a familiarity with all the systems on modern bicycles. A clean driving licence would also be very useful.

We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Customer Service Agent to join our YT UK team. Based primarily at our Guildford office (The YT Mill) with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week, this role is key in representing the YT brand and ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience.

As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the voice of YT for our UK market, embodying our brand values through warm, professional interactions and proactive support. Your mission is to create a seamless, positive experience by handling inquiries and assisting customers with a focus on quality, efficiency, and genuine enthusiasm.

Objectives of the role include: improve customer satisfaction on a point scale, close between 30 – 60 email cases per day (dependant of type & current season), serve our English-speaking customers across the UK & Europe, representing YT at trade and consumer events at least 3 times a year, supporting sales of all YT products across our networks, developing strong working relationships with other employees, help grow the YT culture, and improve the customer experience within the UK and Europe.

As the Head Mechanic at The Hackney Peddler, you’ll be at the helm of our workshop, ensuring that every bike that comes through our doors receives expert care and attention. You’ll lead a team of skilled mechanics, oversee daily operations, and uphold our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Extra UK is one of the country’s leading distributors of cycling parts and accessories with an enviable portfolio of market leading brands. To meet the ever-changing requirements of the market while ensuring continued focus and growth, we are looking to recruit a Retail Specialist to represent the Fizik, Crankbrothers, Brooks and Selle Royal brands in the North of the UK.

Working closely with the Extra UK Brand Management team, Head of Brands and Area Sales Managers, the role of the Retail Specialist is to promote the Selle Royal Group brands to bicycle dealers and to represent the brands at shows and events. This is a field-based role and will require regular travel / time away from home. The successful applicants should be able to manage their time effectively and be able to work on their own initiative, while maintaining regular contact with the relevant staff at Extra UK and Selle Royal Group.

While full product training will be provided, retail knowledge of the bicycle market as well as enthusiasm and understanding of all types of riding (Road, MTB, Gravel and Urban) are necessary to excel in this role. Applicants must also hold a full UK driving license.
