Kambua Cries Foul, Reveals Her 2 Relatives Were Brutally Killed But Her Family is Yet To Get Justice

Celebrated Kenyan Gospel singer Kambua Manundu has weighed in on the recent happenings in the country, where there has been a rise in femicide cases that have been reported in the country.

The ‘Usiku Na Mchana’ hit maker is actually pissed off by this because she feels like it is something that is so unfortunate.

Kambua is actually angered because her family too has experienced such a case where she lost two female family members after they were brutally murdered and the person who committed the heinous crimes got away with it.

The sassy singer actually reminisced about the things that happened in April 2013, when her aunt and her cousin were brutally murdered in Mtopanga, Mombasa.

Unfortunately it has now been over a decade and the family is yet to get justice for the murders.

Infact, her family has been forced to live with the loss and just accept that they won’t get justice, despite the fact that there is a person out there who should have been brought to book.

“April 2013, on a Sunday morning, we woke up to the news that my Aunt (my dad’s eldest sister) together with her daughter – my cousin, had been brutally murdered in their home in Mtopanga, Mombasa.

I will never forget the sight of their house, nor the sight of their bodies. It’s been over a decade, and their case went cold. As a family, we have grieved the loss and especially had to make peace with never having received justice…”

Kambua added:

“We are in the year 2024. Every other day a woman is reported to have been brutally killed. At least 97 women have been killed in the last 90 days (DCI Lagat)…”

“If this doesn’t anger you, I don’t know what will! DCI insists that these crimes are not gender-targeted. What are they then?? I’m so livid, I could cry”.

Here is the post that she made.
