An Atlantic County man arrested with crack cocaine in his underwear last year was sentenced this week to 12 years in state prison on multiple convictions for drug distribution and firearms possession, authorities said Friday.
Marlow Guerrier, 35, was sentenced in state court Monday for first-degree maintaining a drug production facility, second-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, second-degree possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense, and two counts of being a certain person not permitted to possess firearms.
Guerrier must serve at least six years before becoming eligible for parole. The sentencing also resulted in the forfeiture of weapons, narcotics, and $90,590 in cash seized during the investigation, according to a statement from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation found that Guerrier was distributing large quantities of crack cocaine from multiple locations, including four residences and two vehicles, the prosecutor’s office said.
On June 22, 2023, authorities executed search warrants on residences in Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township, Somers Point, and Galloway Township, along with two vehicles.
Guerrier was arrested at a home in Somers Point, where investigators said they found about 3 ounces of crack cocaine hidden in his underwear, additional cocaine near a family room couch, more than $90,000 in cash, a loaded Glock 9mm handgun, and drug paraphernalia.
The handgun, stored in a safe with Guerrier’s vaccine and social security cards, was loaded with 16 hollow-point bullets, prosecutors said.
At a separate residence in Galloway Township, police recovered additional firearms — two 9mm handguns, both loaded with high-capacity magazines, along with 2 ounces of crack cocaine and other items commonly used in processing and packaging drugs, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Guerrier reportedly admitted ownership of the firearms and drugs found at the Somers Point and Galloway locations. He has a prior conviction for drug distribution and is barred from possessing firearms, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The case stemmed from a narcotics investigation by the prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Somers Point Police Department.
