Young Apostles will return to Ghana Premier League action on Sunday, November 10, with the goal of ending Bibiani GoldStars’ unbeaten run to start the 2024/25 season.
GoldStars currently lead the league table with 19 points after nine games, having secured five wins and four draws. They have scored the second-most goals (9) and conceded the joint-second fewest (4), showing a strong defensive and attacking balance.
Young Apostles, in their first-ever season in the Premier League, have had a mixed start but have been solid at home, with both of their league victories coming at Wenchi Stadium, where they have also drawn two matches. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the top flight, as GoldStars were promoted to the league last season.
GoldStars come into this fixture following a 0-0 draw against Dreams FC at home, while Young Apostles are hoping to recover from a recent loss to Legon Cities.
A victory for GoldStars would keep them at the top of the table, three points ahead of second-place Nations FC (if Nations win their match). Meanwhile, a win for Young Apostles would lift them to ninth place, depending on other results.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
