Darts’ female superstar Fallon Sherrock could face her boyfriend in first round of World Darts Championship
Darts trailblazer Fallon Sherrock could be tasked with battling against boyfriend Cameron Menzies at the PDC World Darts Championship.
The loved-up couple may be drawn against each other in the opening round of the iconic tournament at Alexandra Palace next month.
Sherrock is gearing up for her fifth appearance at Ally Pally and is looking to make the second round for the first time since her maiden 2020 event.
In that tournament, she reached the third round where she became the first female to beat a man at the World Championship.
The 30-year-old secured her spot in the 2025 event through the PDC Women’s Series.
While her 35-year-old partner Menzies banked his place through the Pro Tour Order of Merit having recently won his first PDC rankings title at the Players Championship 29 – beating Stephen Bunting in the final.
And the chance of the two competing against one another is an exciting prospect for Vincent van den Voort, who is still hoping to qualify for the tournament himself.
“And not in the second round only, but right in the first round.
“It’s great because prior to that spicy encounter you live in the same house for two and a half weeks while you know you have to compete against each other.

“That’s still separate and awkward all the same. But I would find it the most fun scenario.
“There will always be extra tension on a match like this, because you have to play the person who has been with you all day.
“Then you hope for a loss for the other person, but you can get it yourself in this situation.”
Van den Voort then added: “With him it’s never boring, there’s always something happening. She is the calming factor in their relationship.”
Menzies and Sherrock have been dating since 2021, with their first date taking place at KFC.
And Menzies, who works as a plumber on the side to support his darts career, credits all of his success so far to Sherrock.
He remarked in September: “She helps me tremendously. When we were dating in the beginning, I was in Scotland a lot and she was in England.
“But we often played against each other by video calling during practice sessions. And we still do practise together a lot.
“Honestly, without her I wouldn’t be where I am today. She also keeps pressing me to train because we both get lazy if we don’t practise.
“Who is the better of the two of us? I think I’m a tad better, but she’s better on stage when you’re in the spotlight. She just handles that better.
“Yes… she has bigger balls than me. I’m getting better at it, but when it comes down to the marbles in an important match Fallon performs better. Hopefully one day I can keep up with her level in that area.”
