‘I’m a money expert – from 25% off Lego to £10 Baileys, these are the Christmas bargains to snap up now’

There are plenty of festive deals to be had, including 80% off board games, 30% off Christmas pyjamas and a £315 advent calendar for just £50!

We’re all looking to spend less this Christmas. And to help, I’m constantly on the lookout for great deals that will save you money. With Black Friday fast approaching, there are lots of offers out there.

From big toy discounts (including Lego) to offers on Christmas pyjamas and personalised gifts, here are some of my top picks:

Early Black Friday toy deals at Argos – including half price Bluey playsets

Bluey playset

Get a head start on your Christmas toy shopping with these Black Friday deals from Argos. They are releasing new deals each week in November, with discounts such as 25% off Lego, along with reductions on dolls playsets and kids scooters.

One pretty good deal I found was a Bluey Beach Cabin playset – half price at £30 (normally £60).

What’s also handy, is you’ll see a ‘price promise’ badge on select items. This means if you purchase it on or before 3 December, it won’t drop in price before 25 December.

Up to 80% off board games

Whether it’s bickering over Monopoly or enjoying something a little more light-hearted, Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without a game or two.

Zatu Games have great board game deals with prices often quite a bit cheaper than Amazon (but do your price comparisons before you buy!)

Right now, they’ve got a Black November sale with up to 80% off a wide range of games – including some popular ones like Bananagrams and Rummikub. ‘Rummikub Word’ board game is £17.99 on Zatu, whereas it’s £19.99 on Amazon. So it’s worth doing your research!

£315 M&S beauty advent calendar for £50

beauty items inside the M&S advent calendar 2024

Whether you want the calendar for yourself or you want to use all the goodies as stocking fillers, this is a great deal from M&S.

You can get a beauty advent calendar filled with 25 products (including brands such as REN, L’Occitane and This Works). It’s worth £315, but you can buy it for £50.

To get the discount, you’ll need to add the calendar to your basket and then spend £35+ on non-discounted clothing, homeware or beauty.

The price in your basket will drop from £315 to £50 once you hit that minimum spend.

There are lots of beauty products including hand cream, perfume, detox masks, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and more… which might make great gifts.

Up to 40% off personalised gifts for kids on Etsy

Etsy products can make wonderful Christmas gifts, as many can be personalised.

Currently, they’re offering up to 40% off with their festive season deals. This covers a wide range of items, such as personalised kids plush toys, clothes, puzzles and more.

The savings aren’t just limited to kids products as you can also get 40% off everything from jewellery, seasonal decor and wreaths to homeware and clothing.

One that caught my eye was a necklace that you could personalise by adding your child’s name as letters dropping down – and it starts at £15. Makes for a lovely gift!

Up to 30% off Christmas PJs at Matalan

Matalan Christmas pyjamas

Nothing says Christmas like cosy Christmas pyjamas! Matalan are currently offering up to 30% off menswear, womenswear and kidswear which applies to their already modestly priced Christmas PJs.

You can get full pyjama sets for £10-£20 with most priced around £14. I found a kids pink Minnie Mouse pyjama set for £12.

Get free Click & Collect when you spend £19.99 and free standard delivery when you spend £49.99.

Deal of the Week – Baileys for £8 at Tesco / £10 at Sainsbury’s

Baileys

I don’t know about you, but I’ve got to have a glass of Bailey’s around Christmas time. And they’re currently on sale right now in two different supermarkets.

At Tesco, you can pick up a 70cl bottle for £8 with your Clubcard until Monday 11 November.

Or if you wanted a bigger bottle, Sainsbury’s is selling a 1L bottle for £10 until Tuesday 19 November.

This is likely going to be the cheapest time for you to buy them before Christmas. So it’s worth stocking up, either for yourself or presents for others!
