The Premier League is the biggest domestic competition in the world with the most financial power and largest audience. Since its inauguration for the 1992/93 season, the Premier League has soared ahead of its European rivals to attract the best players and the best managers. Manchester United dominated the Premier League for over a decade under Sir Alex Ferguson’s winning 13 titles since 1992 but recently Manchester City have been the most successful club.

Pep Guardiola led City to an unprecedented fourth consecutive title last season with Liverpool aiming to prevent them making it five. Premier League clubs have won the Champions League on five occasions since its debut 92/92 season with some legendary players lifting both major trophies. But which Premier League legends have played the most minutes in the competition since 2000? Let’s find out. 

Which Premier League stars have played the most minutes together since 2000?

John Terry and Frank Lampard are one of the most iconic duos in Premier League history and they’ve played more minutes together than any other pair. The Chelsea icons played 28, 380 minutes together in the English top-flight, winning the title five times. Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard famously never won the Premier League across their careers at Liverpool but they rank second with 27,806 minutes. 

Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka were the cornerstone of Everton’s defence for almost a decade and they rank third with 20,223 minutes. Eric Dier and Harry Kane are together again at Bayern Munich and the England internationals ranks fifth after playing 19,974 minutes together for Tottenham in the Premier League. Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick won it all at Manchester United and they sit 8th, with both now pursuing managerial careers in the English Championship. Mo Salah features twice on the list with Liverpool full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson with those duos still playing in the Premier League.
