Jewish supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club were reportedly attacked by groups of Arabs, described as Middle Eastern migrants, on the evening of Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Amsterdam.
According to OSINTdefender, the Maccabi fans were leaving a soccer match when they were ambushed and assaulted by crowds of Arabs waiting outside the stadium. The attack left at least twelve people injured, several of them seriously.
As a result of the violence, some of the victims sought refuge in nearby hotels and businesses while the police worked to restore order. The incident occurred after Ajax’s 5-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Reports indicated that some attackers used knives during the assault, and there were also claims of political slogans being shouted, as well as some fans attempting to flee by jumping into nearby canals.
In retaliation, Maccabi supporters were also said to have engaged in acts of vandalism, such as stealing and burning Palestinian flags from local homes and clashing with taxi drivers.
The incident has raised concerns about safety, anti-Semitism, and community relations across Europe, prompting calls for urgent action from Dutch authorities to protect the Jewish community and address escalating tensions.
