ATP Finals in Turin – A long series in the tournament of records comes to an end

The 2001 ATP Finals in Sydney were considered special for years. Not because Llyeton Hewitt triumphed. But because it would remain the last tournament for the best eight players of the year without one of the “big three” for 23 years. So without Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. This phenomenon is happening again in Turin – Nadal will end his career at the Davis Cup from November 24th in Málaga, Federer, who has won the finals six times, has already done so. And defending champion Djokovic, record winner with seven titles, would have qualified, but canceled due to injury.
