JUST IN: Museveni Finally Extends Congratulations to Donald Trump, Welcomes New US Partnership

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his victory as the President-elect of the United States.

Museveni sent this message two days after Trump’s decisive win over Kamala Harris, where Trump secured over 270 electoral votes to become the 47th U.S. President.

Writing on behalf of the Ugandan people, Museveni praised Trump’s “historic victory” and emphasized how winning both the popular vote and the Electoral College votes highlighted a true reflection of the feeling of the majority of citizens in the USA.

In a post on his verified X handle, Museveni expressed Uganda’s hope for stronger ties with the United States under Trump’s leadership.

“I am writing on behalf of the people of Uganda to congratulate you on the historic victory you achieved on the 8th of November, 2024. By winning both the popular and Electoral College votes, your victory was a true reflection of the feeling of the majority of citizens in the USA. We, the freedom-loving people of Uganda, look forward to mutually beneficial engagement with your administration,” Museveni wrote.

The message concluded with Museveni’s dedication to peaceful cooperation.

He stated, “Yours-in-search for peace and mutually beneficial co-operation.”
