This 1,300 Ram TRX is pretty impressive from top to bottom, especially when you consider all of the work that went into it. Is it the fastest daily driver TRX in the world? Unless someone challenges that fact, we’re handing the title to Schaub. With a fully-built motor, carbon fiber wide body, and some major suspension upgrades, this TRX is nothing short of impressive.

This 1,300 Horsepower TRX Is Supercharged

According to the video by Autotopia LA, Brendan Schaub spared no expense when it came to building this TRX. Chris Baily has a world record for the fastest Dodge Demon, so why not build the fastest Ram TRX? The guys at Baily’s Performance helped build the motor to reach around 1,000 horsepower, and it was all uphill from there.

With a fully built motor at 23 PSI, 1,400cc fuel injectors, and a race transmission, the TRX was on its way. That got it to about 1,280 horsepower, even though the goal was only 1,000 to the wheels. It’s running a Magnuson 2650 supercharger with the bigger blower for extra power.

As you can probably guess, this isn’t cheap. Schaub says the donor TRX and all the work involved cost around $300,000. Depending on the year, the TRX is a pretty expensive truck to start off with.

This TRX Is Also A Daily Driver

Brendan says he takes his kids to school daily in the TRX, which only adds to the fun. The inside is pretty stock, which means it is still suitable for toting the kids around town. It does sound like he has plans to fix up the inside, but for now, it looks like a stock truck.

“It’s the fastest truck that a dad can have to get their kids from school to the house, you know. That was the goal.”

When this project started, it was just a stock TRX inside and out. Now, as you can see, this wide-body, fully custom TRX is anything but stock. Ryan Kibbe and the team at Kibbetech worked on the suspension. King off-road racing shocks, coilovers, upgraded lower control arms, 38-inch wheels, and a sweet side exhaust set it apart. The hood and widebody are from Fiberworks. It’s also protected by a new type of liquid PPF, so the carbon fiber should stay pristine for a long time.

The Fuel Economy Is The Biggest Drawback

The TRX gets around five or six miles to the gallon, which is almost to be expected with 1,300 horsepower. It is running on E85 fuel, probably the only saving grace in the situation. Perhaps next time, they will come up with a situation that could aid in better fuel economy. For now, getting six miles to the gallon seems like a fair enough trade off for a 1,300-horsepower monster truck.
