RailTel Corporation bags order worth over ₹170 crore from EPFO

RailTel Corporation on Friday, November 8, said it has received a work order from the EPFO for infrastructure development worth ₹170.25 crore.

The order includes both supply and services for infrastructure development and is to be executed by November 6, 2025.

Last month, the company bagged an order worth ₹144.88 crore from the Gujarat government’s home department. The order was for supply installation commissioning and operations maintenance of CCTV video surveillance systems at various branches of LCB SoG cyber police station and LIB and police stations for Cluster 1, 2 and 3, the company informed the stock exchanges on October 24.

The order will be executed by May 21, 2025, according to the company.

In its September quarter,  the company reported a 40% increase in revenue from operations at ₹843.49 crore compared to ₹599.15 crore in the year-ago period. Its profit after tax increased by more than 6% to ₹72.64 crore compared to ₹68.15 crore in the previous year.

For the six-month period ended September 30, 2024 (H1FY25), RailTel Corporation’s revenue from operations increased more than 31% to ₹1,401.6 crore compared to ₹1,066.76 crore in the previous year. The company’s profit-after-tax for the same period increased more than 13% to ₹121.31 crore compared to ₹106.54 crore in the first half of the previous fiscal.

RailTel Corporation shares were down 2% at ₹403.55 apiece at 2 pm on Friday, November 8. The stock has gained 14.3% this year, so far.
