Michele Morrone, Franco Nero & Ana Golja Join Mike Tyson, Bella Thorne & James Franco In ‘Bunny-Man’ Ahead Of Italian Shoot; First Look Revealed — AFM
EXCLUSIVE: Michele Morrone (365 Days), Franco Nero (Django), and Ana Golja have joined Mike Tyson, Bella Thorne, and James Franco in the cast of Italian superhero movie Bunny-Man.
The Motus Studios is selling the project at the American Film Market with Andrea Iervolino (Ferrari) producing. We’re told the filmmaker will be the character of Bunny-Man himself, whose real identity is a closely guarded secret.
Filming is due to get underway next week in Italy on the project, much of which will shoot in a virtual set. Tyson, who is taking part in a boxing match against Jake Paul in ten days, has already completed his part in the film, which is being set up as the first installment in a trilogy.
The plot of Bunny-Man is said to involve an anonymous multimillionaire superhero who strikes against evil forces while wearing a rabbit mask. He is driven by the desire to avenge his sister who committed suicide after being attacked, images of which wound up on the internet. Below are images of the character and of a press conference earlier this year featuring Tyson.
Iervolino said today that as part of the project a music single will be released alongside the film.
Iervolino commented: “I believe Bunny-Man will revolutionize the way we think of superheroes. This character embodies both mystery and modernity, not just in his story but in how the audience relates to him. It’s a privilege to produce Italy’s first superhero franchise, and I’m confident it will leave a lasting impact on the global market.”
Motus Studios CEO Emanuele Moretti commented: “We strongly believe on the commercial potential of Bunny-Man; we really think it can a start of a very unique independent superhero saga.”
