For the first time, a retrospective exhibition pays tribute to one of the great names of Catalan fashion, Josep Andreu i Fages, better known as Andrés Andreu, the name of the brand that made him famous in the 60s and 70s, or simply Andreu (Tarragona, 1940), the designer who rubbed shoulders with and dressed the ‘gauche divine’, that amalgamation of ‘beautiful people’ made up of a bit of hippy-posh, progressives, artists, models and modern and libertarian intellectuals who dated, night in and night out, in the underground at number 505 Muntaner Street in Barcelona, where the legendary Bocaccio was located.
