Good Morning Britain viewers threatened to ‘switch off’ during Friday’s programme as they blasted the hosts for ‘shouting over each other.’
Presenters Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray were in the studio discussing Donald Trump when things got rather heated.
It became tense between guests Salma Shah and Caroline Flint, who had been invited on to the show to discuss the President-elect’s relationship with the UK.
But viewers were left begging the guests to ‘shut up’ when the debate got a little ‘too loud’ for those watching at home.
Sharing their thoughts to X, fans wrote: ‘This is a really poorly-handled debate, that’s on a poor basis anyway. Be better to say ‘Let’s wait and see shall we?’…. and move onto something of value.’
Others added: ‘Shouting over each other’; ‘One at a time. Shut up!’; ‘Too loud for me this morning. 3 speaking and shouting all at once. Off it goes.’
‘Off to youtube. #gmb is unwatchable with this shouting over each other’; ‘Blah Blah Blah’; ‘What a load of drivel this morning.’
During the segment Salma and Caroline discussed Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner’s comment after she called Trump a ‘buffoon.’
Caroline said: ‘Yeah well I might of chosen different words myself to describe his approach to the pandemic because I thought he was wrong with many of his remarks during that time.
‘But again a lot of this is about theatre. Again, he knows the special relationship is important.’
Salma interrupted and added: ‘I have to disagree with you there. I worked with the Trump administration when I was in the Home Office in 2017 – the first Trump administration and he does take things seriously!’
Earlier this week, Good Morning Britain fans were left divided during Tuesday’s episode as a supersized hosting team was drafted in for a major presenter shake-up.
They complained on X: ‘we don’t need this!’ as things were changed on the programme due to the US election.’
Susanna Reid and Ed Balls have headed to Washington for coverage while Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway back in the studio with newsreader Ranvir Singh.
On Monday’s episode the exciting trip was confirmed as Ed declared at the end: ‘Susanna, grab your bags we’re about to go.’
Susanna, 53, then briefly added: ‘Tune into Good Morning Britain tomorrow live from Washington.’
But fans were confused about why it was needed for them to head to America in the first place.
