“Hao Wengine Wote Walienda” Video Of Kasongo Shedding Tears Remembering Late Bandmates Emerge

Recently, the Orchestra Super Mazembe band’s song “Kasongo” went popular on social media. A video of Kasongo wa Kanema, one of the band members, discussing their early days has reappeared.

The crowd became emotional as the singer and composer, who has since passed away, were unable to control their tears. A video of a deceased Orchestra Super Mazembe member sobbing as they remember the ones they lost has come to light again.

Years ago, Kasongo wa Kanema was asked how many people were in the band when they formed it during an appearance on the Churchill Show.

Among their many well-known songs are Kasongo and Shauri Yako. When Kanema started crying, Churchill comforted him. “Talking about this hurts me. As some audience members fought back tears, he remarked, “The band was founded by thirteen members, but now there are only three of us left.”

The remaining members, he alleged, were in the US and Kenya. “They are not far away, but all the others have gone. The majority of them are buried in Lang’ata Cemetery.

In their prime, the band would pack the Aga Khan Hall in Kisumu, and the crowd would overflow, according to Kanema. He claimed to have been a vocalist and songwriter.

Unfortunately, Kanema died in 2020 as well. The 73-year-old passed away at his Lang’ata residence. In a letter to her father, Chantal Wakanema, his daughter, said, “Continue Resting in perfect peace, dad.”

In response to the poignant film, Kenyans wrote: Shappaman: “Papa, rest in peace.” “The Kasongo song deserves a Grammy,” said Maxwelltwentymill.

“Woiye,” said Gddgyal. A guy is genuinely in agony when he cries. “Kenya was like the United States; everyone wanted to be here,” said Marsmaine. To make it, they came. Unfortunately, things have changed.
