Several passengers boarding a Thika-bound matatu from Nairobi sustained injuries after the vehicle got involved in an accident on the Thika Super High Way.

The PSV overturned and lay in the middle of the road near the GSU headquarters after hitting a private car travelling in the same direction.

The accident led to a traffic build-up; police showed up at the scene immediately.

Members of the public took it upon themselves to rescue the passengers trapped in the bus.
