‘You could put on a bin-bag and still look stunning’ cry fans as Kathryn Thomas stuns on red carpet in see-through top

RTE star Kathryn Thomas stepped out on the red-carpet wearing a see-through top.

The Carlow native got all dolled up to attend the premiere of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II in Dublin’s Lighthouse Cinema on Thursday.

Many Irish stars stepped out in style for the highly anticipated event to get a glimpse of the main man – Paul Mescal.

And Kathryn definitely dressed to impress for the special occasion.

The 45-year-old went to the premiere with her stepson Conor McLoughlin, who recently competed on The Voice UK.

The mum-of-two took to Instagram beforehand to share a video of herself getting red-carpet ready.

Kathryn started off the video yawning wearing a red half-zip jumper and no makeup.

The former Operation Transformation host the got changed into a black puffy tulle skirt from Marks and Spencer.

She paired the frock with a daring see-through shirt with a black bra underneath it.

Kathryn finished off her fab fit with some black Christian Louboutin heels.

She captioned her post: “Wrecked but rallying!! Couldn’t miss The Gladiator premiere with our very own Paul Mescal.”

Kathryn’s friends and fans all went wild for her “stunning” outfit and raced to the comment section with compliments.

The man of the hour, Paul Mescal, has said he was “blown away” by the crowd of Irish fans that came out to support him.

The streets were lined with thousands of people hoping to get a glimpse of the Normal People star.

According to the Irish Examiner, he was met on the red carpet by his parents, Dearbhla and Paul along with his sister Nell. 

MESCAL MAYHEM

As he made his way down the red carpet to the background noise of cheers and chants of ‘ole ole ole’, he made time to engage with his fans.

The Kildare native spent almost an hour with fans yesterday evening, signing things, chatting and taking selfies.

He told RTE that he is “always blown away by Irish fans who come and stand and wait to meet us.

“Myself and the other Irish in London talk about it all the time – the welcome we get.”

He told the Irish Times: “This is mental. This feels categorically mental”.

The Denny’s ad alum shared his happiness at being back home on the Emerald Isle, telling RTE: “I’m so happy to be home; it’s so special. Dublin is my home – this is where I trained and studied acting, so to be back like this is just amazing.

“There’s something in the water here – the quality of creative talent is just brilliant.”
